Sally

Our sweet Sally would love to find her forever home or a foster home that would suit her needs. Please read her story below and help her find that special family she so deserves.

Sally was rescued from the township where she spent her whole life on a chain. She then gave birth to 6 puppies while on a chain and because she was unable to care for them they all died! The heart ache she must have felt as a mom not being able to nurse and care for her babies is unimaginable. She was extremely stressed being chained up and used to chase her tail round and round which only made her chain shorter and shorter until she was unable to move, and couldn’t even get to food or water. When she was rescued she was extremely malnourished and neglected. She had no love or stimulation what so ever.
Despite all of this, Sally is such a loving and affectionate girl and adores people. She is very good with other dogs and loves to play but will do best with one or maximum two other dogs because when she gets stressed ie with lots of barking or loud noises. When stressed, Sally tends to chase and bite her tail like she did in the township. Because of this Sally would need further rehabilitation to counter condition these learnt behaviours she has developed. PETS will assist the foster/ forever home with this. Sally would also do best in a quiet, stable home without kids and someone who is home often or works from home and can give her the love and attention she craves.

Sally is eager to please and learn. She loves to play with people, other dogs and her toys and loves going for walks. She is house trained and will sit for her food. She thrives on routine and structure. She is about knee height and only about a year and a half old. Please share our precious girl so she can find her foster/ forever home.
