Blackey

Blackie is one of two dogs who were surrendered to us completely emaciated. His owner in the township has been unemployed for quite some time but finally got a job, however it’s in Limpopo. She’s could only come home some weekends. She asked her Neigbour to feed her dogs during the week when she works but they don’t like dogs and left them to starve. She asked us to take them on. Blackie is a very sweet natured, submissive dog who is good with other dogs. He has been waiting at our camp for even so much as a foster home since October 2018 with no luck. He’s not doing well there. He’s a very shy, submissive dog and is feeling completely overwhelmed with so many dogs around him. He really needs to move urgently into a foster home with one or two other dogs, where he can flourish and begin to feel confident. When he is comfortable & content he has a lot of energy and loves to play. His former owner also says he is used to kids from 3 years old and up but not good with chickens or cats. If you can offer this boy the home he deserves or even just foster him please urgently email us jhb@pets.org.za
