PETS concentrates on sterilising township animals in order to prevent unwanted litters and help reduce the increasing population of dogs and cats without homes. This also prevents types of Cancers and diseases in the animals.

PETs holds Spayathons every second month in Orange farm township and surrounding areas where our vet and team sterilise at least 30- 50 animals (cats and dogs). With the help of volunteers we also vaccinate, deworm and deflea around 350 cats and dogs on the day and provide medical treatment for around 30 animals. Each animal goes home with some food, a collar (for dogs) and any other donations we collect from supporters.  Overall a spayathon costs around R30 000 but is extremely important to improve the lives of these pets and control the population of unwanted dogs and cats.

Sterilisation saves lives!
